The Local Business Network Sunshine Coast - Business Owner Boardroom
Are you looking for a way to get clarity on where you would like to take your business in the next 12 months?
Would you like a new type of sales strategy, teaching you how to use models to effectively sell to your customers, getting you the price you want and increasing your conversion rates?
In celebration of Queensland Small Business Week, The Local Business Network is running a full-day Business Owner Boardroom, bringing together businesses from the Sunshine Coast in a collaborative training environment to learn new skills and share knowledge regarding business planning, sales strategies and business collaboration.
The Local Business Network will present training topics throughout the day to help business owners identify and work on key areas of their businesses that need improvement.
The workshop will focus on 9 key Projects around Sales & Marketing, People & Productivity and Margins to build a one page business plan. Business owners will also collaborate in a Boardroom style activity focusing on implementation of one key project to improve Sales in the business.
The key takeaways of the event for participating business owners will include:
-
One-page business plan focusing on the main areas where money is made or lost in business (i.e. Sales and Marketing, Margins, People and Productivity)
-
Tailored strategies to build sales models to deliver value to prospects
-
The opportunity to identify and find solutions to a specific challenge in a collaborative and guided group setting
Session Details:
-
Morning - Frame Your Future - Business Planning:
Overview of business planning and strategy training leading to the development of a one-page business plan to give you clarity on what areas of your business need the most focus. -
Midday - Upgrade Your Sales Influence:
How to use models and positioning to work with prospects to understand their needs and then deliver value based proposals. -
Afternoon - Boardroom Session:
Collaborative boardroom session where groups will work together in a facilitated group setting to identify solutions to a challenge of their choice (taken from the day's training) to develop an actionable plan to implement for business improvement.
The Business Owner Boardroom event combines training sessions and a facilitated group discussion that allows business owners to collaboratively work on current issues and how to resolve them.
Business owners will work together to help each other identify common challenges faced by businesses in the Sunshine Coast Region as well as the solutions they have been able to identify based on their own experiences.
This will be done through a tried and tested peer-to-peer model allowing business owners to implement solutions taken from the days training directly into their own businesses. It is expected that a collective knowledge from the ‘Board’, all with diverse yet similar experiences (in terms of business size and location), will help to shape a new perspective for others seeking fresh ideas on how to take their business to the next level.
The Local Business Network’s culture is to bring like minded business owners together from within the same community providing leadership and expertise to promote business growth. This event seeks to create an environment where business owners can work on current community issues affecting the prosperity of the local business community.
Community Support & Fundraising:
The Local Business Network have aligned with Sunny Kids Project Workforce to help fund business community growth in the Sunshine Coast area.
Project Workforce is designed to help get people back into the workforce with Certificate II Business Training.
Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Sunny Kids in order to help promote growth opportunities for people in the Sunshine Coast region in the workforce.

"I joined The Local Business Network in August of last year and have enjoyed working with local Sunshine Coast community business owners to help establish goals in both business and personal aspects to achieve work life balance.
I am highly process orientated and believe in building system reliant, not people reliant businesses to help deliver the highest quality result with the lowest requirement for skill.
This helps to free up business owners so they can delegate effectively and free up more time to work ON the business instead of IN the business."
